Wylmetta Elliott Buckles, 92, Elizabethton passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born July 12, 1933 in Elizabethton to the late Jim & Mahelia Oliver Elliott. She was a graduate of Unaka High School. She loved cooking and gardening. She was a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Buckles and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law: Randell & Carmen Buckles. Four Grandchildren: Chad Buckles, Abbie Harris, Hayley Minton and Allison Hughes. Four Great Grandchildren: Erica Harris, Zayne Buckles, Olivia Hughes and Teagan Hughes. One Sister: Geraldine Brooks. Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery with Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating. Music will be by Abbie Harris. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
