William Edward Marlowe, 64, Roan Mountain, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Hammond, Indiana to the late Willie & Callie Cleo Johnson Marlowe but had lived most of his life in Carter County. He was a graduate of Cloudland High School. He was retired from Linville Ridge Country Club as a Security Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his daughter, Lacretia Anne Holley. He was a loving father and a hardworker.

Survivors include his daughter: Elizabeth Marie Marlowe and her special companion Noah Whitehead. One Brother: Eddie Marlowe, Roan Mountain. Two Nephews: T.J. Blevins and Cody Marlowe. His four legged furry friend: Tiggy.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Richard Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow in the Isaacs Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Music will be by Darren Higgins. Active Pallbearers will be: Danny Street, Darrell Higgins, Doug Higgins, Gary Hicks, Luke Clark and Scottie Hayes. Honorary Pallbearers will be: friends  and also former employees of Linville Ridge County Club. The family would like to express a special thank you to Noah Whitehead and his family for all their support during his sickness.
