Violet Lee Tester Watson, 95, Elizabethton, went home to be with Her Lord, Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Hillview Health Center. She was born July 28, 1930, in Boone, North Carolina to the late Victor Lee and Pearl Gillian Tester. She had lived most of her life in Carter County. She was a graduate of Cove Creek High School, Sugar Grove, North Carolina and Steed College. She along with her husband were Owners of Watson Trout Farm. She loved to read, write poems and play the piano. Violet was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a former member of Oak Street Baptist Church and Doe River Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband L.B. Watson who passed away July 4, 2014, and by a sister: Marie Norris.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law: Ben & Lori Watson. One special Granddaughter: Loren Watson and numerous other family members in North Carolina.
A Service to Celebrate the life of Violet will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Travis Tyler officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Sugar Grove, North Carolina at 3 p.m. Monday. Music will be provided by Chris Hughes. Active Pallbearers will be Deacons of Grace Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special thank you to Linda Duvall her care giver, her niece: Anita Jenkins and the Staff of Hillview Health Center.
