Terry Jack "Stoney" Hatley, 68, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Joseph Jack & Margaret Louise White Hatley. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Stoney was a Construction Superintendent. He attended Roan Street Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Mack, Bo, and Jeffrey Hatley and one sister: Lora Bowman. He was a member of The American Legion and Elizabethton Moose Lodge. He loved to watch NASCAR, fish and work on cars and listen to bluegrass in his spare time.

Survivors include two daughters: Mackenzie (Kaleb) Denton, and Miranda Hatley. One Granddaughter: Avery Denton. Four Brothers: Gary (Judy) Hatley, Mark (Geri) Hatley, Roy Hatley and John Hatley. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jody Bewley officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 in the Whitehead Cemetery, Butler. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home prior to the service.
