Terry Lee Presnell, 77, Roan Mountain, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Ballard Hospice, Bristol, Tenn. He was a native of Carter County. Terry was a retired employee of Summer-Taylor after 35 years of service. He was a heavy duty equipment operator. He served in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and working in the yard.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Maude Whaley Brumitt, also four brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years: Patricia Rhinehart Presnell, Five Children: Samentha Presnell, Terri Street, Melanie Presnell, Sha Presnell and Norah Presnell. Also a special granddaughter and daughter: Martina Presnell. Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery with Stacy Honeycutt, Josh Kodack, Israel Hughes and Derrick Hughes officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Martina Prresnell, Ian Talbert, Hez Street, Darrell Turbyfill, Shane Street, Gannon Presnell, Sam Praslor and Monrow Street. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Robert Turbyfill, Joey McKinney and John Barnett. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Ballad Hospice for the excellent care he received.
