Terry Lynn Denton, 77, Piney Flats, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 in the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport. He was born July 24, 1948 to the late Clarence & Ida Mae Cross Denton. He was a graduate of Mary Hughes High School. Terry had served in the United States Air Force for 22 years where he received the rank of MSGt. He also was employed at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Bluff City. He was a member of the Poplar Ridge Christian Church. He received the Meritorous Service Medal from the Air Force among many other awards.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years: Vivian Diane Caldwell Denton. One Son: Brent David Cross. His Brother: Jim Denton & wife Janet , One Sister: Anita Grubb & husband Steve. His four legged furry friend "Toi".

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) with Mr. Brad Perry, minister, officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, South Carolina. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Poplar Ridge Christian Church, Making Room Project, 206 Poplar Ridge Church Road, Piney Flats, Tenn. 37686.
