Teresa Jane Baird, 78, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Teresa was born September 16, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana to the late James and Elizabeth Welborn Kimbrel. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a retired employee of Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: James Kimbrel.

Survivors include a daughter: Elizabeth Nelson and a son: Nathan Baird. Two Grandchildren; Kaleb Nelson and Kylie Nelson. One Sister: Sharon (Mike) Street. Several nieces and nephews and her cat that she loved dearly “Ebony”.

Graveside Service will be conducted at the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2026 pallbearers will be family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
