Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 17:8
Tammy Dawn Sams Arney, 54, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 and now she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born on November 20, 1971, in Carter County, TN, Tammy was the beloved daughter of Jim and Tonie Sams. She was a proud graduate of Elizabethton High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball. She truly adored her patients and found deep fulfillment in helping those in need. Tammy had a special love for animals, especially her dog, Loki.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Randy; her sons, Kaleb (Lauren) Schuettler and Jessee West; her parents, Jim and Tonie Sams; and her brother, Jimmy (Melissa) Sams, multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins, including her beloved Aunt Faye. She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Mark.
Tammy loved her family deeply, and they carry with them both the memories of who she was and the love she gave. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the kindness she showed to those around her. Though her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever lovingly remembered.
