Obituary

Stokes Junior Cook, 76, Roan Mountain, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Columbia, Pa. To the late Melvin and Norma Lee Street Cook. He had lived in Carter County for 54 years. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of the Ghost Riders Motorcycle Club, Johnson City. He loved riding Motorcycles and hanging out with family and friends. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: George Cook and a sister: Louise Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Carol Hower Cook. Three Children: Melvin Cook, Stacy and Matthew Shell and Dawn Cook and Joe Clouser. Five Grandchildren: April and Josh Shell, Stasha, Chandler, Porter and Bell. His Great Grandchildren: Gavyn, Parker, Alexis, Easton, Bently, Ameli a, Levi, Elijah, Katilyn, Laken and Lainey. Two Brothers: James and Robert Cook and his brothers of the Ghost Riders Motorcycles Club. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Buddy Cretsinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Knight Cemetery, Hampton Creek, Roan Mountain. Active Pallbearers will be; Gavyn Shell, Josh Shell, Matthew Shell, Jack Shell, Porter Cook and Chandler Cook. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
