Steven Robert Birchfield, 64, Elizabethton, passed away peacefully at home on Monday December 22nd, 2025. He was born September 29th, 1961 in Elizabethton to the late Ellick and Bonnie Townsend Birchfield. He attended Elizabethton High School. He was in Retail Services at the Valley Forge Auction House in Elizabethton. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Hunting and Fishing club. He was a member of the Southside Free Will Baptist Church in Elizabethton. He loved his family, church family, and his work family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruby Guinn and Jean Lund and three brothers: Cecil, Worley, and Jim Birchfield. Survivors include his Wife: Denessa Babb Birchfield, One Son: Franklin Birchfield, One Daughter: Maleah Hampton and Isaac Collins, One Granddaughter: Miah Collins, One Grandson: Jensen Collins, Two Brothers: L.J. Birchfield (Teresa Webster), and Charlie Birchfield (Patti). Six sisters: Shirley (Billy Jack) Smith, Josephine (Larry) Cable, Judy (Donnie) Davenport, Joyce (George) Richmond, Kathy Humphrey (Wayne), and Mary (Paul) Burleson. And several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Steven will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, December 29th, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Burleson and Pastor Jeremy Burleson officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Paulbearers will be: Anthony Ford, Howard Craft, Michael Manuel, Mark Davenport, Austin Babb, and Hunter "Bo" Nave. Honorary Pallbearers will be his many friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
