Obituary

Shirrell Glenn Miller, age 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 20,2023.
He was born March 1, 1936 to William Frank and Margaret Hope Miller. After high school he joined the Air Force where he proudly served 21 years. He retired to come home and take care of his mother and father and to be a farmer, another job he was proud of.  He is preceded in death by: his parents; his beloved wife, Shirley; Brothers Robert Allen Miller, and Junior Dale White.
He married Shirley in 1960 and was a loving husband and father. He was particularly proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He served God by serving his church and community. He was generous to anyone who had a need.
He is survived by his children, Gary and Lois; as well as Kim, Josh, Ana, Sarah, Nick, Joshua, Matthew, Isaac, Lily, and Olivia. He is also survived by siblings Richard, Harold (Shirley), Deborah (Jim Lemons), and Peggy (Paul Buckner).
In Lieu of flowers, please donate to W. A. Miller Family Cemetery (C/O Nan Miller Johnson, 427 Liberty Hill Road, Statesville, NC), or the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be 12-1pm with funeral following at Memorial Funeral Chapel Elizabethton, TN. At 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 with the Rev. Alan Dixon officiating. The eulogy will be given by Mrs Kim Miller. Graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at W. A. Miller Family cemetery, 4918 HWY 321, Butler, Tn, 37640 , with Shaw Air Force Base providing military honors. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website: www.memorialfcelizabethton.com .
