Shirley R. Trice, 86, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at her residence. She was born October 31, 1938, in Chesnee, South Carolina to the late Getter & Cora Peterson Randolph. She had lived in Elizabethton for 20 years. She was retired from Baxter Lab in Marion, North Carolina. She loved to sew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bryant W. Trice, Jr. who passed away, March 22, 2021, by a granddaughter: Shannon Dean, Three Sisters and Six Brothers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Newland, North Carolina.

Survivors include a Daughter: Gail Dean & husband Eddie. Three Grandchildren: Elizabeth (Roy) Lubag, Edward (Tricia) Dean and James (Keisha) Dean. Six Great Grandchildren: Broc Trivette, Ashton Trivette, Kalleigh Dean, Reagan Dean, Sawyer Dean and Thatcher Dean. Several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in the Church of Jesus Christ, Newland, North Carolina, with Pastor Dave Atkins and Pastor Chris McCoury officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, in the Fork Mountain Cemetery, Newland, NC. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday.
