Sherry Elaine Elliott Russell Harmon, 67, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Hermitage Health Center. She was born March 17, 1956 in Carter County to the late Rev. Frank Elliott, Jr. & Alta Braswell Elliott. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Darryl Russell and her second husband Richard Harmon. By a sister: Lynn Presnell and a brother; Johnny Elliott. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children: Kimberly (Tony) Denmark, Ball Ground, Georgia, Sharay Russell (John) Grindstaff, Elizabethton and Chris Cable, Elizabethton. Eleven Grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two Brothers: Danny (Jan) Elliott and Jackie Elliott.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Interment will follow in the Hyder Cemetery (Gap Creek). Active Pallbearers will be: Ryan Cable, Nick Cable, Darryl Harris, Keydon Russell, Tony Denmark and Jonathan Grindstaff. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Hermitage Health Center and the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
