Sherrill Ray Heaton, 90, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born October 26, 1935 in Elizabethton to the late Granville Ray and Geneva Little Heaton. He was a 1954 graduate of Elizabethton High School, Sherrill sold corrigated Boxes. He loved music, having been a member of the Johnson City Concert Band for several years. He was also a member of Dashiell Masonic Lodge # 238. He was also a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Gayle Heaton, his son & daughter-in-law: Scott & Penny Heaton. Three Grandchildren: Logan Heaton, Cody Harding and Lacey Stanley. Two Great Grandchildren: Octivia Harding and Cohen Harding.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2026 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Travis Tyler officiating. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2026 will be: Logan Heaton, Cody Harding, Derek Stanley, Richard Simpson, Nick Andes and Brayden Garland. Music will be by: Laura Seagrove. The family would like to express a special thank you to Heather Andes and Lisa Simpson.
