Shelia Ann Murphy, 62, Watauga went to be with her Lord, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born March 28, 1963, in Johnson City to the late Joe & Mildred Bunton Taylor. Also, her special parents: Lee & Dorothy Williams. She was a graduate of Science Hill High School. She was an avid homemaker, and a cook, she loved animals and loved taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ricky Taylor and Mike Taylor and a sister: Jeanne Workman.

Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years Mike Murphy and son: Josh Murphy & wife Amber. Three Grandchildren: Paislee, Raedyn and Tylee. Two Brothers: Randy Taylor (Peggy) and Chris Taylor and a sister: Debbie Willis (David). Her Mother & father-in-law: Gene & Hester Murphy and a sister-in-law: Sandra Livingston.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Shelia Murphy will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, in the River of Life Baptist Church, Piney Flats with Pastor Donnie Humphrey officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Music will be provided by Daniel Salyer and Teresa Hyatt. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the church at 6:50 p.m. Thursday and also at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Friday will be: Larry Whiston, Aaron Whiston, David Hartsell, Randy Haun, Jake Haun, Rick Colbaugh and Barry Hensley. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the church prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Friday.
