Sharon Ann Barnes, 77, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her residence. She was born December 29, 1947, in Elizabethton to the late Clarence (Cot) and Elma Sparks Mottern. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was employed in Medical Records at Johnson City Medical Center, also she was office manager at the Castle Clinic. She was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Dale Barnes, two sisters: Betty Turner and Linda McQueen, one brother: Paul Mottern and Daughter: Jerri Louann Barnes.

Survivors include Her Daughters: Jerri Scalf and Staci Barnes (Pat) Perry. Her Grandchildren: Aerial Reshea Lovelace, Nate Lynn Perry and wife Emily and Aleigha Danielle Scalf. Her Great Grandchildren: Luke Richardson, Raelynn Perry, Ryleigh Perry and Roman Perry.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Sharon will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jack Greenoe officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Active Pallbearers will be: Nate Perry, Pat Perry, Johnny Ray Woodby, David Ingle, Dylan Willis and David Bowser.
