Sanford Jerry Phillips, 61, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1964 in Elizabethton to the late Kelly Phillips and Frankie Ingram Phillips Morrell. He was a retired farmer. He loved hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Darlene Phillips and a brother: Steve Phillips.

Survivors include Two Children: Jerry Allen Phillips and Brittany Nicole Phillips. Three Step-Children: Chynthia Chapple, Angela Jones, and Anthony Scim, His Siblings: Roy Phillips, Teresa Head, Scotty Morrell and Bryan Morrell. Several nieces and nephews including a special nephew: Steve Phillips and a special niece: Stephanie Pearson. He is also survived by his long time girlfriend, Liz Godsey.

Graveside Service will be Conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 in the Buckles Cemetery with The Rev. Willie Campbell officiating. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12 noon Friday will be: Jerry Phillips, Steve Phillips, Rick King, Chris Proffitt, Gregg Maney, Sam Maney and Brian Morrell.
