In Loving Memory of Sandra Loretta Williams

April 21, 1952 – April 24, 2025

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sandra Loretta Williams, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, just three days after celebrating her 73rd birthday. Sandra was a devoted Christian whose life was marked by deep faith, quiet strength, and unconditional love for her family.

Born on April 21, 1952, Sandra was the cherished daughter of the late John and Evelyn Williams, and Margaret Vanover. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Staton Williams. Sandra lived a life full of grace, compassion, and devotion to her faith and her family.

She was a loving mother to her daughters, Jamie Harrison Amer (Ash) and Jessica Harrison Harr (Bradley). She was a treasured Mamaw to her grandchildren: Haley Harrison, Brendan Harrison, Yusuf Amer, and Jasmin Amer, and a proud great-grandmother to Arabella Rose Harrison and Romeo Rosario.

She is also survived by her sister, Starr Lowe (Timothy), and Matthew Williams (Maddie) ; several nieces; and a special niece, Makenzie Williams Sawyer (Wyatt), all of whom brought her great joy and pride.

Sandra retired from First Tennessee Human Resource Agency after 36 years of dedicated service. She was known for her professionalism, her care for the people she served, and her steadfast work ethic. Her colleagues loved her witty sense of humor, which brought light and laughter to even the busiest days.

She was a faithful member of University Parkway Baptist Church, where she worshiped and found joy in fellowship with her church family.

Sandra's home was a place of warmth, love, and faith. Whether gathered around the dinner table, sharing stories, or quietly praying for her family, she led with a gentle strength and an open heart. Her life was a reflection of her deep Christian faith and her unwavering commitment to her loved ones.

Today, Sandra is fully healed and whole, resting in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith has become sight, and her joy is complete.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. Though we will miss her dearly, we rejoice in the blessed hope that we will see her again one day.

A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton, Tennessee with Pastor Scott Thompson officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 in the Blevins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
