Obituary

Hampton, TN– Ruth Evelina Gragg, a loving mother, cherished Granny, and beloved great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family in Hampton, Tennessee, on November 22, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on January 12, 1941, to the late Charlie and Senia Willis.

Known affectionately to many simply as Granny or Wee, Ruth embraced these titles with immense pride and affection. To most, her real name was secondary to the warmth of her adopted grandmotherhood.

Ruth was a kind soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for the outdoors, where she felt happiest. She held a special place in her heart for all her furry companions, especially the many rabbits she cared for and loved over the years.

More than anything, Ruth loved her family. Her best times were spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving behind a profound legacy of love and care.

Ruth was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bobby Gragg; her daughter, Jeannette Irick; her sons-in-law, Bobby Irick and Pat Watson; and her brothers, Larry Willis, Odell Willis, Arnold Willis, Gene Jones, and Clifford Tolley; and one sister, Vernie Carver.

She is survived by a large and loving family who will miss her every day:
