Roy Warren Lunceford ,68, Elizabethton went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born on March 29, 1955 in Mountain City to the late William and Charlotte Grindstaff Lunceford. He was previously employed by the City of Johnson City for over 30 years. He enjoyed riding in his pick-up, watching TV with his four legged best friend "Baby", spending time with his wife sitting on the front poarch, and eating her delicious cooking He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years: Kylene Mullins Lunceford. His Children: Amanda (Stacey) Ashley, Elizabethton, Melinda (J.T.) Lunceford, Unicoi, Elizabeth (Mesh) Johnson, Johnson City, Billy (Nikki) Morton, Conover, North Carolina, Lisa (Billy) Clemons,Hampton and David Brewer, Elizabethton. 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers: Terry (Brenda) Lunceford, Johnson City and William Ray (Christine) Lunceford, Gray, Tenn. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Waycaster officiating. The eulogy will be given by Mr. Earel Beals. Interment will follow in the Lyons Cemetery. Music will be provided by Connie Roberson. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Caris Health care. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home prior to the service.
