Ronald Street, 84, Roan Mountain, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He was born November 19, 1941 in Carter County to the late Allen and Linda Cochran Street. Ronald served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. He worked as a carpenter and drove a school bus and custodian for the Carter County School System. He was a member of Sally Cove Creek Community Church in Hampton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Aileen Street, May 6, 2024, by a sister and brother-in-law: Virginia and Harry Cates, a sister and brother-in-law: Pauline & Fate Whitehead, a brother and sister-in-law: Paul and Betty Street and a sister-in-law: Sue Street

Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law: Melissa & Greg Van Tassell, A granddaughter: Madison Van Tassell all of Elizabethton. One Brother and sister-in-law: Jerome & Jackie Street. Several nieces, and nephews also survive.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 in he Mountain Home Cemetery (Historic Section) with the Rev. Eddie McAmis officiating. Music will be provided by the Sally Cove Creek Church. Military Honors will be provided. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday will be: Greg Van Tassell, Steve Rainbolt, David Whitehead, Alex Trivette, Darby Dickenson and Allen Tolley. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. Special thanks to the Hospice Wing of James H.
