Ronald "Ronnie" Nelson Street, 66 of Roan Mountain, went to his Heavenly Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday November 10, 2023 at his residence surrounded by family. He was the son of the late Ray & Flossie "Grace" Smith Street. He was an employee of Cannon Memorial Hospital in Avery County, North Carolina for 40 years as a CNA. He was of the Christian Faith.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, watching wrestling and old westerns. Ronnies greatest joy was his son Logan.

Those left to cherish his memory the love of his life, Katina Ledford Street; his world his son, Logan Street; dear to his heart, his niece, Brandie Caraway; his two sisters: Dorothy Smith and Doris Jarrett; along with several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. His four legged friends: Ranger & Baby.

A Celebration of life service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in the Burbank Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Randy English officiating. Music will be provided by Kimberly Holtsclaw. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Johnson Roan View Cemetery. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the Burbank Free Will Baptist Church at 10:20 a.m. Thursday will be: Eston Blair, T J Roberson, John Caraway, Levi Caraway and Jonathan Arnett. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tommy Street, Conlee Street, Paul Street, Joe Farmer, Berry Stocton, Tommy Hughes, All his co-workers and patients he cared for at Cannon Memorial Hospital. Ronnie and his family would like to thank Dr. Earwood, Dr. Lambert and their staff, the staff at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, the staff at Waters of Roan Highlands, Amedisys Home Health and Hospice and Health and Home Care of Erwin. Also a special thank you to Joe Farmer, Tommy and Rhonda Street, and Steve Whittington and Jon Buck. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Burbank Church. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Burbank Free Will Baptist Church at 10:20 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
