Roger D. Taylor, 70, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Landon D. Taylor & Georgia Etta Taylor Glaser. Roger was a 1962 graduate of Unaka High School. He served in the United State Marine Corps. He was a retired employee of PSG. Roger was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Glenda Faye Puckett Taylor, May 16, 2014 and by a daughter: Michelle Taylor.
Survivors include Two Sons: Shane Taylor and Crystal Campbell, Greeneville and Adam Taylor and wife Teresa, Elizabethton. His Grandchildren: Dustin, Jacob, Logan & Austin Taylor. His special Friends: Henry Wayne & Cynthia Ensor.
Friends may visit with the family at his residence or the residence of Adam & Teresa Taylor, 382 Nave Hollow Loop, Elizabethton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Roger to the Baseball Lighting Fund of Unaka High School, 119 A Robinson Lane, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
It was his wish to be cremated and private services will be held at a later date.
