Roberta Jean
Jones
Dec 5, 1947 — Jun 1, 2026
Hampton
Roberta Jean Street Jones, age 78, of Hampton, entered into the presence of the Lord on June 1, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, and faithful servant of the Lord who beautifully built her family around God. Roberta was a dedicated member of Rich Acres Free Will Baptist Church.
She spent most of her life homemaking, selflessly caring for her children and serving as a compassionate caregiver to her ill mother, father, and husband, always putting others before herself. Roberta was an amazing cook, an immaculate housekeeper, an extremely hard worker, and gifted at preserving food for her family.
Roberta is survived by her children: Rhonda Kostovick (John), Shane Jones (Lisa), Charmaine Kromer (Mike), and Brett Jones (Kristy); ten grandchildren: Sara Silvestri (Josh), Derek Kostovick (Lauren), Amber DeGeorge (Chris), Eric Jones (Sydney), Kelsey McMehan (Dalton), Ashley Fuller (Austyn), Sydnee Austin, Kendra Jones (Brad), Gage Kromer, and Madison Kromer; and twelve great-grandchildren: Eli, Lincoln, Cole, Jackson, Maeve, Lily, Kennedy, Cora, Murphy, Camden, Mason, and Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Jones; her parents, Robert and Sally Street; and her siblings, Joyce Senesi (Dino), Richard Street (Lula Belle), and Harold Street (Sandra).
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to her amazing caregivers: Vicki Buchanan, Terri Smith, and Kendra Jones.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026 in Memorial Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Kenneth Grindstaff and Pastor Terry Jones, with music provided by Joy Abel. There will be no graveside service. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Roberta’s memory to the Rich Acres Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund (1245 Kings Springs Road, Johnson City, TN 37601). Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
