Richard M. Cain, 85, Kingsport, formerly of Elizabethton, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the residence of his daughter. He was born December 20, 1938 in Bloomsburg, Pa., to the late Howard Reber and Pruella Hippenstiel Cain. He served in the United States Army. He had lived in Elizabethton for the past 20 years. He had served as a Minister for 35 years. He had several hobbies including, guns, knives, watches, and trains. He loved people and loved the outdoors. Mr. Cain was a member of the South Side Christian Church. He was also a member of the NRA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years: Donna Lee Cain who passed away October 19, 2023.
Survivors include his Daughters: Ami Bailey & Husband Greg, Kingsport, Mindi Cain, Dallas, Texas and Sandi Wise & Husband Christopher of Placerville, California. Eight Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers: Howard Rodney Cain & Wife Bonnie, Marion, New York and Timothy Reber Cain & Wife Margaret, Forty Fort, Pa.. Several Nieces & Nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) with Ken Phillips officiating. Military Honors will be provided. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home Wednesday 12 Noon until 5 p.m. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
