Obituary

Rebecca "Becky" Arnett, 73, of Roan Mountain, Tennessee, passed away on January 16, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her dearly. She was born on May 18, 1952, in South Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Dessie Nelson.

Becky shared a devoted life with her husband of 56 years, Donald Wayne Arnett Sr. Together, they raised three children: Donald Wayne Arnett Jr. (wife Seba Arnett), David Arnett (partner Barbara), and Amy Arnett (partner Laroyd Boyd). Her greatest joy came from her family, especially in her cherished role as a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Brittany Arnett, Hannah Morris (husband Max Morris), Haley Richard, Noah Arnett (partner Abbey Gouge), Caleb Arnett, Abigail Ennis (husband Brady Ennis), Dessa Arnett, Gabriel Arnett (partner Summer Taylor), Rebecca Arnett (partner Lane Malone), and Samson Arnett. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Braxton Richard, Addysen Richard, Tucker Arnett, Elliott Malone, and several others-including one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter expected soon.

At home, she found comfort in reading-particularly the works of Stephen King-occasionally knitting blankets for her grandchildren, and relaxing with her favorite television shows and a Diet Coke nearby.

Becky was known for her warm heart and lively spirit. Her humor brightened every room she entered, and she offered steadfast support to those she held dear-especially her grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care during Becky's final moments as well as Memorial Funeral Chapel for their compassionate service during this difficult time and assisting in her final arrangements. Services will be held privately. Her memory will continue to bring comfort and joy to all who knew her. Condolences may be sent to our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com
