Raymond Eugene "Gene" Stansberry, 68, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was a son of the late Beeler & Bonnie Watson Stansberry. He was a graduate of Unaka High School. He had served in the United States Army. He was a carpenter. Gene loved to go to the lake.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years: Carolyn Powell Stansberry. Two Children: Gina (Daniel) Lewis and Michael (Christina) Stansberry. Five Grandchildren: Tyler (Brooklynn) Stansberry, Madison Lewis, Parker Lewis, Bevin Riddle and Kalie Estep. Two Great Grandchildren: Ady Stansberry, Rylan Vines. Two Brothers: Roy and Marshall Stansberry. Two Sisters: Helen Dempsey and Sandra Lewis. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2023 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Doug Hartley officiating.  Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
