Obituary

Randal Lynn Buck, 67, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in the Johnson City Medical Center.. He was born July 20, 1957 in Elizabethton.  Randal was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. In earlier years, he was employed by the Carter County Sheriff Department, Unicoi County Sheriff Department where he was a Sgt. and also the Erwin Police Department. Randal also had worked at Nuclear Fuel.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by a brother: Todd Buck.

Survivors include his wife: Tammy Sutphin Buck. Two Children: Tifanie Smith and Taylor Phillips, Four Grandchildren: Rylee, Paisley, Daisy and Haileigh. His Parents: Jerry & Frances Humphreys Buck. Three Sisters: Tammy (Paul) Carroll, Melissa (Gary) Shockley and Amy (Kevin) Grindstaff. Two Brothers: Anthony (Darlene) Buck and Eric Buck. Several nieces, nephews, aunts ,uncle and cousins. A very special friend: Royce Sutphin, also a very special uncle: Jack (Geraldine) Humphreys.

Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Rusty Verran officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
