Ralph Albert Wilcox, known to all as Pete, made his final journey home to the Lord surrounded by family on October 4, 2026 following a long hard fight with cancer.
Born to Donald and Alice (Farmer) Wilcox on May 31, 1956, Pete is survived by his wife of 44 years Peggy, his children Onica Leigh (Steve) Oldiges, Craig Joseph (Renee) Wilcox, and Dustin Ralph (Allison) Wilcox, grandchildren Dylan Ralph Wilcox, William Thomas Oldiges, Anna Kate Wilcox, Elynn Alice Wilcox, Nikolaus Stephen Oldiges, and Emmalee Reagan Wilcox, siblings Charlotte Wilcox, Ann (Brad) Mikyla, Janet (John) Swanson, Bert Wilcox, Alice (Vince) Bennet, Charles Wilcox, Nancy (Tom) Rys, nieces, nephews, cherished extended family, friends, dedicated caregivers, and his beloved canine trucking companion, Baxter. He is proceeded in death by his parents Donald and Alice Wilcox, mother-in-law Joan Duncan, and brothers in law Tom Duncan and Rich Nielson.
Pete’s love for the road kept him trucking for 50 years. In addition to the miles logged in the truck, he loved a good road trip in the motorhome, a ride on the motorcycle, a little beetle-ing, or often a combination of all three. Throughout his many adventures he never met a stranger. Family, friends, and strangers alike, he became a cherished part of the stories of so many lives all over the USA he loved so dearly. We rejoice in knowing we will one day be reunited with Pete in heaven, but until we meet again it’s 10-4 good buddy, over and out.
The family will receive friends at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church from 6 pm to 7 pm on Thursday 8 October, 2026, with a service to follow.
The family will also celebrate Pete’s life at Sunrise Bible Church in Harris, Minnesota on 24 October, 2026, with a graveside service to follow at Sunrise Cemetery.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Wilcox Family.
