Phyllis Michelle Smith, 64, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Phyllis was born September 13, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska. She had lived in Florida before coming to Tennessee 34 years ago. She was a graduate of Melbourne High School, Melbourne, Florida. Phyllis loved puzzle books and in earlier years enjoyed camping, going to the lake and going to the beach. She was preceded in death by her father: Jack Sheppard Hardison and a son: Kyle Clifton Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years: Danny Smith. One Daughter: Sheana Daniele Smith (Kayla Griffin), Elizabethton. Four Grandchildren: Tristan Wilson, Blakely Smith, Kaylee Smith and Malakhi Shaver. Her Mother: Joyce Hardison of Stokes, North Carolina. Her Twin Brother: Phillip Hardison, Stokes, North Carolina and a sister: Carol Sciarrino and husband Joe of Stokes, North Carolina and Brother-in-law, Charlie Smith. Two special friends: David McCants and Chelsi Belcher.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dennis Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
