Phillip Lance Williams, known by those closest to him as Lance, died unexpectedly at age 40 at his home on Sunday, November 5th, 2023. Lance is preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle. He is survived by Grandmother Maude Williams, his parents, Dennis and Bobbie Williams, two sons, Dakota Keith Necessary and Dylan Wayne Williams, several aunts and uncles, and many cousins. Including a special group called, "The 6 Amigos," that he hung out with growing up.

Lance lived in Carter County his whole life and attended Happy Valley High School. His parents instilled in him the importance of working hard and staying committed to one's personal goals. He excelled in work starting at Tarkett Flooring, Tri-City Beverage, and, for a short time, in ATV maintenance. In his latest position at Universal Development Corporation, he obtained a management position and received recognition for outstanding leadership and awards. He remained committed to uplifting his staff and learning new ways to be the best leader he could be.

Lance will be remembered by his beloved family and loyal friends, for his sense of humor, laid back and giving spirit, sense of adventure, providing the means for others to see and experience beautiful places. Lance leaves a legacy of being a wonderfully devoted son, friend, and father. He was a man who carried a heartwarming and contagious smile and, having been raised in a household full of love, exuded love for his family. Lance's family will share beautiful memories for years to come reminiscing together about his love for fishing with his dad and boys, four wheeling, camping, deep sea fishing at the beach and fun vacations spent with family.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Lance will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brent Nidiffer & Pastor Luka Temaj  officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Dylan Williams, Dakota Necessary, Shane Nidiffer, T.J. Williams, Brian Williams, Shona Williams, Bobby Bennett and Rick Cates. Honorary Pallbearers will be his many associates and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the King Springs Baptist Church, his family & friends for all their support.
