“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”(2 Timothy 4:7-8).

Paris Street Sr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 19, 2026. Born in Hampton, Tennessee on November 02, 1932 to Dont and Blanche Hyder Street. He attended Hampton High School and proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. When he returned from his tour of duty he married the love of his life, Rebecca Clark Street. They celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on June 15, 2025. Paris worked at North American Rayon Corporation and the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center where he retired in 1998. He enjoyed farming, walking, deep sea fishing and playing the harmonica. He had a great love for dogs, babies and children whom he taught many to do life’s important things like love the Lord, tie their shoes and how to whistle. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father and papaw/pappy.

Paris was a member of Milligan Free Will Baptist Church, where his youngest son Mark serves as his pastor. He was a former deacon of Woodby Hill Free Will Baptist church and Keenburg Free Will Baptist church. He enjoyed singing bass in the church choirs.

He is survived by his wife of almost 71 years, Rebecca Clark Street, his son Paris Street Jr. and wife Susan, Pastor Mark Street and wife Kathy, and his daughter-in- law, Debbie (Joel) Street, his grandson Joel Street Jr. and wife Amber, granddaughters Kendria McNeese and husband Brandon, Ashlee Krutick and husband Gregg, and Sarah Street, great grandchildren: Makenzie Street, Chloe Street, Easton Paris Street Reeves and Paris Jewell Krutick.

He was preceded in death by his son Joel Street Sr., his great granddaughter Sadie Grace Street, his parents Dont and Blanche Hyder Street, brother Eckert Street, sisters, Leeora Church, Zella Bailey, Arrie Roark, and Vera Giles Collins.

A service to celebrate the life of Paris Street Sr. will be held at Milligan Free Will Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 7 p.m. His son Mark Street will be officiating. Eulogies will be presented by his grandson Joel Street Jr., great granddaughter, Chloe Street and son, Paris Street Jr. Music will be provided by Kendria Street McNeese, Makenzie Street and Sharon Roark. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The graveside service will be at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section), Johnson City, TN. at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026. Active pallbearers will be Brandon McNeese, Sheldon Roark, Jeff Giles, Danny Street, Darrell Bailey, Byrl Clark Jr., Rick Ingram, Mike Ingram and Jesse Pitcock. Honorary pallbearers are members of Milligan Free Will Baptist Church, Sidney Gragg and Kelly Crain. Military Honors will be provided.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the James H. Quillen Veterans Administration for their outpouring of love, kindness, and support to our loved one, and also to Mary Dugger for all her help during a very overwhelming time. Our James H. Quillen VA make us proud to be an American. Special thank you to Sharon Roark and Diane Clark.
