Pansy Sue Slagle, 64, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her residence. A native of Carter County, she was born December 14, 1960 to te Jimmy Ward and the late Delane Hartley Ward. She loved singing Gospel and loved to sew. She was of the Holiness Faith. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Hartley and Dean Bailey.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years: Joseph Slagle. Five Children: Jeffrey Guy, Jr., Eric Guy and wife Jessica, Crystal Guy & husband Jeffrey Stines, Jr., Kathy Slagle and Joshua Slagle and wife Lucy. Her Father: Jimmy Ward.  11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren One Brother: Lenny Ward & wife Shirley. One Sister: Teresa Williams. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kim Casey officiating. Music will be by Shirley Ward. Interment will follow in the Lyons Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
