Norman Fred Chesser 77, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026 in the Hillview Health Center. He was born November 2, 1948 to the late Fred & Ethel Lowe Chesser. He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. He served in the United States Army. He was retired from Eastman Floral Daniels. He was a member of the Elizabethton Elks Lodge for many years. In earlier years he loved fishing. He was an avid UT Fan and the Atlanta Braves. He was also an animal lover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Connie Worley Chesser, his brothers: Clyde, Allen and Harrison and two sisters: Hazel Johnson and Linda Chesser.
Survivors include a son & daughter-in-law: Norman Chesser & April Helton, and a daughter & son-in-law: Jennifer & Anthony Harris. Two Grandchildren: Makayla Harris and Landon Chesser. One Brother: Ray Chesser and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026 in the Lyons Cemetery with Chaplain Matt Eden officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Military Honors will be provided. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
