Mary Opal Creasman-Clark-Richardson 87, went peacefully to be with her Lord
on October 28, in Elizabethton, TN. She was one of twelve children of Rev. Jesse Creasman, and Mary Ollie Womac Creasman. She was a graduate of McMinn County
High School, class of 1946. Upon graduating Mary attended nurses' training at Memphis
Baptist Hospital where she met and married Elford Clark of Charleston, SC., a watch repairman. They made their home in Orlando, FL. where Mary worked in the nursery and helped deliver babies. She later was a private duty nurse. Mary and Elford had two children, Elford Jr. and Linda. Her husband became terminally ill, and was in and out of hospitals. Mary cared for him until his death in 1962. In 1967 she married Robert Richardson, and then moved to California, where he was with the Dept. of Immigration. After his death, she moved to Altadena, CA, to be near her son and his family.
In 2011 she moved to Elizabethton to be near her daughter and husband and granddaughter and family.

She is preceded in death by her husbands; Elford Clark and Robert Richardson; her
father, Rev. Jesse Creasman and mother, Mary Ollie Womac Creasman. Brothers, Mike, Rick, Jess Curtis, Cecil; Sisters, Louise, Lucy, Jina.

Surviving Mary are; son, Elford (Fran) Clark, of Gainesville, FL.; daughter, Linda (Bob) Elrod of Elizabethton, TN.; grandchildren: Joy Clark; Micah (Janelle) Clark; Brandon (Desiree) Elrod; David (Julie) Elrod; Amy (Jonathan) Fulmer; and 9 great grandchildren; Aidan, Gavin, and Devony Elrod; Hannah, James, and Grace Elrod; Evan, Macy, and Nathan Fulmer. One Sister: Ozelle Ricks; Brothers: Herschel (Joanne) Creasman, Oran (Virginia) Creasman, Carl (Roberta) Creasman; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She attended Immanuel Baptist Church of Elizabethton. One of Mary's lovely traits was her willingness to help others in anyway she could. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching tennis, and cheering for her football team, the Florida Gators. Mary endured many trials, but through them she learned to trust her God. Her favorite scripture was Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

The service will be at the Creasman Chapel at Eastanallee Baptist Church in Riceville, TN at 2:00 on Sunday Nov 9, with graveside committal service following.
