Mary Jewell Gentry Blevins, 83, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Bristol, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas E. & Mary Shortt Gentry. She had lived in Elizabethton since 1970. She loved cooking, working in her garden, her flowers , loving and caring for her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Edward Blevins, a daughter: Sharon Elaine Wilson, a granddaughter: Heather Blevins, four brothers: Earnest E., James H., TD, and Rex A. Gentry and two sisters: Phyllis R. Cross and Debra Susan Welch.

Survivors include her daughter and care giver: Jeanne L. Blevins Gourley, a son: James Blevins, Four Grandchildren: Matthew, Thomas, Amber and Wesley Blevins. Three Great Grandsons: Wyatt, Levi and Mikey Blevins and Two Great Granddaughters: Sadie Blevins and Avari Shafer . One Brother: Thurman Gentry. Two Sisters: Sandra G. Pittenger and Teresa M. Manuel. Several nieces and nephews. Her sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Martha & Frank Warren.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday April 12, 2022 in the Old Glade Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Glade Springs, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Son, Grandsons and Dakota Mullins. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
