Martha Geneva Odom, 106, Elizabethton, went to sleep in the Arms of Jesus Friday, December 29, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Roan Mountain, April 7, 1917. She loved to quilt, go camping and fishing. She enjoyed life that God gave her. She attended Zion Baptist Church, True Gospel Baptist Church and Gap Creek Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Odom and three children. Dorothy Ward, Dallas Odom and G.B. Odom

Survivors include four children: Ray Odom & wife Paulette, Ruby Odom, Frances Bowers & husband Darrell and Linda Hamby & husband Roger. Her loving daughter-in-law: Birdie Odom. Several Grandchildren, several great and great, great, and great, great, great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Martha Odom will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Interment will follow in the McKinney Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Jerry Bowers, David Bowers, Darrell Bowers, Roger Hamby, Greg Odom and Michael Odom. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Sonny Jones, Dwayne Forbes, Tom Oxendine and Gene Murphy. The family would like to express a special thank you to Kim Neilsen, Joshua Finney, Amedisys Hospice Staff and Dean & Patsy Presnell.
