Mark Douglas Roberts, 54, Roan Mountain, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mark was born September 2, 1971 in Banner Elk, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Cloudland High School. He had worked at Grocery Stores and Convenient  Stores in Roan Mountain and Avery County, North Carolina.

Mark was a sports fan, he loved to watch several colleges and national Sports clubs. He was a people person, loved to talk to everyone he meet. He loved to sing Karaoke. Mark was a Christian. He was preceded in death by a brother: Matthew Roberts, His Maternal Grandparents: Truman & Rowena Elliott Greene and Paternal Grandparents: Paul Honeycutt and Lucy Roberts Hughes.

Survivors include his parents: Doug & Phyllis Roberts, His Special Aunt: Lola Hughes, His special cousin to the family, Bertie Puttman, and his special friends: Eddie & Patrica Shook.

It was his wish to be cremated and no services are planned. Friends and Family may call at the home at any time.
