Lynn England, while surrounded by his family, went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2025.

Lynn was born on August 28, 1957 to Haskel Matt  and Roberta England in Claiborne County, TN.

Lynn worked as a foreman for TVA Watauga Lake for 33 years. When he wasn't working, he loved being outside, fishing, and woodworking. He enjoyed serving the Lord and his church, Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church, where he served in many roles including security, driving the church van, and being a trustee since 2005.  His greatest love was his 5 grandkids.

Lynn was an example of a man driven by his purpose and faith in God. He would always challenge those around him to be the best version of themselves.  Though he had a tough exterior, his heart was of gold.  He would never hesitate to give his last to someone in need.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Haskel Matt England; sister, Christine England and brother, Larry England.  Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Donna England; daughter, Chrissy Modlin (Adam); son, Robby England (Samantha); grandsons, Landon Carter, Wesley Modlin; granddaughters, Lexi England, Haley Modlin, Natalie England; his mother Roberta England, sisters and brothers; Kenny England (Melissa), Nancy England,  Kathy Roach (Jimmy), Terry England (Shannon); and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished.

A Service to Celebrate the Life of Lynn England will be conducted at 12 Noon Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Potter officiating.  Interment will follow in Monte Vista Memorial Park, Johnson City.  Music will be by Jeff Snyder,Loren Harris, Jennifer Martin and Teresa McKinney.  Active Pallbearers will be: Landon Carter, Wesley Modlin, Derick Williams, John Williams, Eli England, Preston England and Garrett Tucker.  Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tony Jones, Mark Albury, Jim Bishop, Tom Pleasant, Gary Smith, Jeff Ledford, Justin Campbell, Jerry England, Randy Williams and Trustees and Deacons of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service at 12 noon.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff of Fresenius Kidney Center of Elizabethton and Johnson City, the office of Dr. Michael Snyder, and Amedisys Hospice of Elizabethton. It is with great appreciation and love that they cared for our amazing husband, father, and grandfather. Also to his church and church family, who he also loved so much.
