Linda Stella Mercer Hyder, 62, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at her residence. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Asa & Tennie Mercer. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a retired Painter. Linda loved to crochet, cross-stitch, and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Brandy Hyder and Jack Hyder. Three Grandchildren: Michael, Cheyenne and Brendon. Two Sisters: Helen Shell and Ellen Mercer. Three Brothers: Garrel Mercer, Gary Mercer and Ralph Mercer. Several nieces and nephews.

It was her wish to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
