Linda Hilmon:

September 9th, 1946 — April 21st, 2026

Hampton, Tennessee lost a beloved mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend today as Linda Hilmon, age 79, passed peacefully from this life and into the arms of her Lord. A woman whose faith shaped every step she took, she lived with a quiet strength, a generous heart, and a devotion to others that never wavered.

Born on September 9th, 1946, she spent her life rooted in the mountains and community of Hampton, where she became a guiding light to many. As a teacher, she touched countless lives: offering patience, encouragement, and the belief that every child carried God-given potential. She worked and gave her time at her home church, Hampton First Baptist, where she prayed and cared for her church family. As a friend, she listened deeply and loved without judgement. As a mother, she gave everything she had.

She leaves behind her brother: Larry Kennedy (Wife: Joyce Kennedy), her three sons: Christopher Todd Taylor of Florida, Shannon Dale Hilmon and Joshua Lance Hilmon of Hampton, Tennessee, who carry forward her resilience and her faith.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Erica Michelle Darnell, and Jonah Isiah Hilmon, who were the joy of her later years.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the presence of her Savior.

May her memory be a blessing, and may her love continue to guide those who adored her.
