Linda Sue Putman Guess, 74, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Albert & Gladys Sams Putman. Linda loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the East Side Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Randy Allen Guess and a brother: Jeffery Putman.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years: Junior Guess. Two Sons: Christopher Shawn Guess and wife Jeannie and Travis Scott Guess. Five Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren. Her four legged furry buddy "Frankie".

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Highland Cemetery with Pastor Justin Deaton officiating. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will be: Walt Pierce, Charlie McNeil, Steve McNeil, Jacob Pearce, Johnny Vines and Bobby Gordon. The family would like to express a special thank you to the 3rd Floor Nursing Staff at Sycamore Shoals Hospital for the excellent care she received during her stay there.
