Lillie Bell (Cindy) Jarrett, 67, of Hampton went home to be with the Lord where she will never need another hospital or a drop of blood. Cindy was a native of Carter County, born to the late Lawrence and Lena Hill Simerly on June 26, 1957. Cindy was a faithful member and teacher of the Card Class at Hopson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, until her health would not allow her to attend. She was a very hard worker, having worked her last job at the Copper Kettie Restaurant in Hampton.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Jarrett, son Dale Jarrett and two brothers: Jimmy & Roy Simerly.
She is survived by three son's and their families: John & Ruby Jarrett and Jimmy & Amanda Jarrett of Elizabethton, and Robert "Todd" Jarrett of Hampton. Four Sisters: Margaret (the late Paul Smith) Hampton: Darlene (Harold) Smith, Gladys (James) Winfrey and Lisa Holtsclaw all of Roan Mountain. Three Brothers: Jack (Lisa) Simerly, Michael (Betty) Simerly and Marshall Simerly all of Roan Mountain. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Heather, Nicole, Ashley, Matthew, Samuel, Destiny, Jacob and LeAnna, ten great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Highsmith and Pastor Jamie Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Music will be provided by Sherry Tilson. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Interment will follow in the Jarrett Cemetery, Roan Mountain. The family would like to thank Sycamore Shoals Hospital ER & 3rd floor nursing staff, for all the love and care given to Cindy.
