Leroy Junior "June" Birchfield, 57, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was born July 23, 1965. He was employed as a tree tr i m m er and landscap er. June loved hunting and fishing. He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. June was preceded in death by his father: Sherman Creed y Birchfield.

Survivors include his wife: Sarah "Sally" Hagenah Birchfield. One Son: Dylan Birchfield, Johnson City. One Step-Daughter: Jennifer Doty, Hampton. His very special granddaughter: Kaylee Jade Birchfield. His mother: May Belle Banks Birchfield. One Brother: Scotty Allen Birchfield, Hampton. Niece & Nephews: Hayden Birchfield, Hunter and Bella. His four legged friends: Buddy and Rocko.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Guy and Rev. Bill Highsmith officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Dylan Birchfield, Dillon Jones, Logan Slone, Charles Julian, Hayden Birchfield, and Eddie Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers will be his friends and family. The family would like to express a special thank you to his best friend, Charles Julian. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
