Obituary

Larry Stewart " Doughball" Stevens, 78, Butler, passed away at home on January 27, 2025. He was the son of the late Carmon and Alice Moner Stevens. Larry was retired from the United Stated Navy. He enjoyed deer hunting and was a fisherman. Larry was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ivalee Birchfield Stevens and daughter, Heather Stevens and grandchildren: Kayla Grindstaff and Camden Stevens. Larry was also the community Papaw and honorary Papaw of Daegan and Jaylan Weaver.

A Service will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 30, 2024 at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Osborne, Officiating. The family will receive family and friends at from 5- 7 p.m. Interment will be at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 11 a.m. January 31, 2025. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Military Honors will be provided. Active Pallbearers will be: Jim Birchfield, Logan Birchfield, Josh Benfield, Charlie Bise, Collin Bise, Carl Widner, Camden Stevens, and Daegan Weaver In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to Awana Club at Bible Baptist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website: www.memorialfcelizabethton.com. The family would like to give a special thanks to Ballad Hospice and Nurses Candice and Greg.
