Larry Wesley Scalf, 82, went home to be with his Lord on December 16, 2025. He was the son of the late Larken and Gladys Scalf of Watauga. He was preceeded in death by five brothers. He was a retired roofer.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Edith Scalf. Three Sons Wesley Allan (Rachael), Larry Keith (Debra), Christopher Mark (Amy) Scalf. One Daughter Cindy Edwards (Brett). Four granddaughters Ashlee Eggers, Halee Simerley, Legand and Carys Scalf. Four Grandsons Andy, Christopher, Storm Scalf and Nathan Miller. Fifteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Linda Milhorn and a special aunt Sherry Coffey.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Hauser officiating. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Scalf Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would also like to thank Lifecare Facility of Elizabethton and all the employees for the love and care they showed him and the family. Also, thank Gentiva for their care. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Camp-Ta-Pa-Win-Go Bible Camp, 111 CBM Camp Road, Watauga, Tn 37694 and the Gideons. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery.
