Kenneth Shawn Thompson, 50, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born March 25, 1973 in Johnson City but had been a residence of Carter County most of his life. He was a painter. He loved to play the Guitar and go fishing. He was a member of Milligan Free Will Baptist Church. Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother: Nina Jean Townsend Thompson and a son: Andrew Thompson.

Survivors include two sons: Jacob and Elijah Thompson both of the home. His Father: Paul Thompson. One Brother: Jason Thompson and wife Riley. Three Nephews: Ian, Griffin and Simon and One Niece: Scarlett.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 04, 2024 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Street and Pastor Dexter Brummitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Combs Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1- 2 p.m Thursday in the chapel and also at the residence of Jason Thompson anytime.
