Obituary

Kenneth Clifton Miller, age 95, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away peacefully at the Mountain Home VA Hospital on March 31st. He was the son of the late Lattie Miller and Loretta Cress Miller both of Elizabethton.

Kenneth retired as an engineer at Sperry Rand/Unisys Corporation, Bristol, TN. Prior to his employment at Sperry Rand/Unisys, he served in the Army Airforce as a First Sergeant. His responsibilities involved the readiness, health, morale, welfare and life of Airmen. His skills required strong communication, leadership and dedication. His specialties were in electrical/mechanical classes specific to Jet Electrical/Mechanical for the F86, F84, B51, B38 and open and closed advanced Hydrolics/Jet Engines. He was assigned as First Sergeant to lead a team in Alaska,  to install the first dueline Radar (related to season and temperature). The order was put forth by the FFA/IFF for Air Traffic Control on the  Alaska Russian Border. He remained grateful for the time and opportunity to serve his Country.

Kenneth also loved serving the Church's in his community. As a child, he and his parents were members of Emmanual Baptist Church. He is currently a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethton.

He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and remained in awe his entire life of the Grace that God provided to him, through his long and full life. Next to the Lord, he loved his family and always thanked God for providing him with his beloved family. He gave God the credit for everything throughout his life.

He we preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary June Gouge Miller. He has 5 surviving children, son Michael Kenneth Miller of Elizabethton and his wife Tammy Miller, Daughters, Pamela A. Miller of Johnson City and her husband Kevin.  Susan Miller Gibson and her husband Don and Donna Miller Taylor of Johnson City and her husband Sam,  Julie Miller Beale of Elizabethton and her husband Sam He has 2 Grandsons, Samuel T. Beale and Kendall S. Beale, 4 Grandaughters Caroline, Julianne, Lili and Gaby and 1 Great Grandson, Theodore,. One Great Granddaughter: :Elianna, .

A Celebration of Life Service for Kenneth will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, April 4 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Matthew Smith officiating.. Music will be provided by David Arney. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025 in the Miller Cemetery, 306 Lincoln Drive, Elizabethton. . Active Pallbearers will be: Don Gibson, Sam Taylor, Sam Beale IV, Kevin Stafford, Sam Beale V and Kendall Beale.. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
