Kenneth Wayne Holtsclaw, 80, Roan Mountain, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 in the Hillview Health Center, Elizabethton. He was born February 8, 1947 in Roan Mountain to the late Dave and Katherine Arnett Holtsclaw .He was retired from Paty Lumber Company where he had worked for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Vivian Gail Holtsclaw, a son: Christopher M. Holtsclaw, two brothers: Ronnie & Tim Holtsclaw and Two Sisters: Iva Lee Holtsclaw and Charlene Drown. He attended Fork Mountain Free Will Baptist Church. He loved fishing, Hunting and gardening.

Survivors include Three Sisters: Thelma Breedlove, Shirley Darlene (Jim) Mynatt, and Veronia Gail (Paul) Wilson. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2026 in the Blevins Cemetery, Tiger Creek, Roan Mountain with Pastor Charlie Trivette officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday.
