Kenneth Manard Higgins, 87, Erwin, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his residence. A native of Unicoi County, he was a son of the late William and Bonnie Edwards. Mr. Higgins was a truck driver having worked for Summers-Taylor, General Shale and Erwin Metal. He loved to work in his garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Leslie Chandley Higgins, August 7, 2016, by one sister: Pearl Tipton and three brothers: Larry Higgins, Gene Higgins and Tony Higgins.

Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law: Melissa & Cecil Nelson. Two Sons: Earick Higgins and Michael Higgins. Two Grandchildren: Melinda Nelson and Tayler Nidiffer. One Brother: Jack Higgins. One Sister: Rita Smith. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 in Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorailfcelizabethton.com .
